28. Brasher, Harry LeeHarry Brasher (1970-1972)

Harry Lee Brasher was born in Baytown, Texas, on February 4, 1932. He currently resides near Gatesville.

A covered-dish supper on business meeting nights was begun in May, 1970. In October, Bernie Brown was called as part-time Youth Director and the parking lot was paved. A church bus was purchased for $200 in May, 1971. A 3-month mission project began in September. One-half of the Cooperative Program contributions were used to support the Arizona Apache Baptist Association. The remaining half of Cooperative Program funds was equally divided between Home and Foreign missions. Mark Wysong was called as Youth Director on September 29, 1971.

In December, Odis Mirick was elected to serve as a Trustee of the Church. At the beginning of 1972, the Church voted to set up a benevolence fund of $500 accumulating to $1,000. A three-member committee was formed to investigate benevolence needs and administer the funds. Dale Griffin became church pianist in September, 1972.
