Founded on the principles of Ephesians 4:11-16, we seek to develop fully mature followers of Christ through systematic discipleship. We believe that our members will be best equipped to do the work of ministry when discipleship includes foundations for faith, mentoring relationships, biblical instruction and discipline specific studies. To accomplish this goal, FBC Hewitt offers a quarterly New Members Class, one-on-one mentoring relationships, Sunday Morning Bible Study classes, Wednesday night Discipleship Studies, and studies specifically geared toward men and women throughout the week.

Founded on the principles of Mark 10:43-45, we seek to follow the example of Christ and demonstrate our love for people through acts of service. Currently you can find the members of FBC Hewitt serving others as mentors and prayer partners with Kids Hope USA, our mentoring ministry at Hewitt Elementary; delivering food on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with Meals on Wheels; serving the needy in our area as part of our Ramps & Rails ministry; or serving in with one of the many local ministries that we support such as: Christian Women’s Job Corp, Mission Waco, CareNet or Gideons International.

Founded on the principles of Acts 2:42, we seek to live life together, sharing one another’s burdens, praying and fellowshipping with one another as we build authentic relationships. We believe that this happens best in the context of small groups. In addition to our Sunday Morning Bible Study classes, we offer Life Groups that meet throughout the week in the homes of FBC Hewitt members. To accommodate groups with children, we offer childcare and discipleship training for children at the church from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Sunday nights. Senior adults can also connect with one another through our LLL ministry and our Senior Game Day each Thursday at 1pm.

Founded on the principles of Acts 1:8, we seek to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We believe that we do this best through personal evangelism – each member of FBC Hewitt being fully engaged as a missionary each day. To equip members to share their faith, we provide evangelism training throughout the year as part of our discipleship studies. In addition to sharing our faith as a natural part of our daily lives, we engage in missions through local outreach events and financial support for national and international missionaries. Our North American mission efforts are focused on our relationship with WHY Church – New Hope, a church plant in Minneapolis, MN.
